The Divide over Patriotism
Separation of patriotism and state?
Yes my fellow Orwellians we now live in a country that has made it illegal to be proud of the fact that we live in this country.
Monday the 5 year anniversary of the
He was one of at least seven students sent home for wearing shirts featuring patriotic images and messages. It comes less than a week after three siblings were suspended for wearing shirts emblazoned with the First Amendment, despite warnings, and a week after more than 200 students were sent home on the first day of school for violating the district's dress code -- which bans apparel with writing or pictures.
Why can’t students wear slogans that might appear to be patriotic? Because being patriotic might offend someone.
You remember several months ago Mexican citizens and their supporters flew the Mexican flag in high schools all across the country? In one high school the America flag was even taken down, a Mexican flag was put up to replace it and the America flag was turned upside-down and put underneath the Mexican flag.
Well apparently high school administrators thought that to be political correct they would ban any show of allegiance to any country. Seems fair right?
You know one wouldn’t want to offend non-citizens by reminding them that the greatest country in the world is affording them the opportunity to receive an education free of charge.
Noooo we’ll just pretend that all countries are equal and that one can get the some education anywhere in the world.
So let’s see separation of church and state, separation of patriotism and state; that’s God and Country banned the only thing left for the political correct left to eliminate from the American people is apple pie.
You better believe banning apple pie is next because of politically correct nutrition and dietary laws.
We wouldn’t what to have praying, patriotic and apple pie eating Americans; now would we?
